陈琦
陈琦,字巨川,1963年生于南京,1987年毕业于南京艺术学院美术系,获学士学位;2006年毕业于南京艺术学院美术系,获博士学位;中央美术学院研究生院院长,教授,博士生导师。教育部全国艺术硕士研究生教育指导委员会委员,中国美术家协会版画艺术委员会委员,中国美术馆展览评审委员会委员,中国国家画院研究员,中国人民大学特聘教授。其作品连续获得第七、八、九届全国美展铜奖及优秀奖,第十三届版画展金奖及第五届北京国际美术双年展优秀作品奖。并分别被中国美术馆、上海美术馆、广东美术馆、江苏省美术馆、浙江美术馆、湖北美术馆、中央美术学院美术馆、台湾国父纪念馆、关山月美术馆、深圳美术馆、青岛美术馆、哈尔滨艺术宫版画博物馆、英国大不列颠博物馆、英国维多利亚阿尔伯特博物馆、英国牛津阿什莫纳博物馆(Ashmolean Museum, Oxford)、英国苏富比艺术学院(Sotheby''''s Institute of Art, London)、纽约国立图书馆、日本福岗美术馆、奥地利维也纳青年美术馆、欧洲木版画基金会等艺术机构收藏。

学术描述
陈琦是当代最具有创造活力的水印版画家,他的水印木刻从一开始就疏离了八十年代前水印木刻的一般范式,除了纯以素墨为基色之外,他很少通过刀法的变化去塑造形象,也不是通过水的晕化张显水印的韵味,而是运用多层分版叠印展示造型和层次的变化,对于水的运用突现了渐变的透明度、秩序感和丰富性。陈琦的水印试图对“高贵的单纯与静穆的伟大”作东方意蕴现代形式的再度阐释。无论《荷之连作》、《阐释存在》还是《花之舞》、《梦蝶》,都依稀弥散着浓浓的传统人文气质,具有典型的庄禅意味。他的现代视觉审美方式,一是完全通过素墨的浓淡变化揭示心象世界丰富微妙的灰度变幻,二是把版画印制的尺寸扩大到数倍于实物,最大限度地增强视觉张力
陈琦的绘画艺术作品具有鲜明的中国当代文化特征。这些特征一是反映在其作品表现的寓意内涵上,从1987年《明式家具系列》、1990年《琴系列》、1995年《荷系列》、1999《阐释系列》、《梦蝶系列》、到2002年的《佛印系列》等作品,无一不是源于对中国传统文化精髓的思考与现代观念切入的阐释。
他的作品内涵深刻而富于思辩,在这些作品中,有其对中国传统文化的认识与理解和对生命意义的追问,这表明了他不仅仅单纯是对中国传统文化的认识与思考,而是将其为镜,和对当代人文精神的高度关注相连,比如《明式家具》、《琴》、等系列作品。在这些作品中,陈琦将中国传统家具、乐器以一种高度写实的手法将其内在悠深远阔的传统人文精神揭示出来,使画面呈现出一种精纯的传统文化的精神气息;在《荷》、《梦蝶》、《佛印》、《逝水流年》等系列作品中,陈琦将在中国传统文化中极富象征意味的荷花、佛手、蝴蝶与庄生梦蝶的故事进行了自我拟人化的描绘与组合,产生了如诗如梦的幻景画面,这其中既有对东方传统文化精髓流失的愁伥又有当代中国文人一种内在深刻的精神反省,在陈琦看来,画面的题材与形式并不是最重要的,重要的是这些作品的内核是否具有对精神探索的深度与文化张力。
Chen Qi was born in Nanjing in 1963. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Art Institute in 1987 with a bachelor''''s degree. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Art Institute in 2006 with a doctorate degree. Chen Qi is currently working as a professor and the Deputy Dean of Graduate School of CAFA (Central Academy of Fine Arts), the associate director of Printmaking Art Committee of China Artists Association, and the researcher of Printmaking Department of China National Academy of Painting.
