当代著名版画家,国际版画联盟主席英格里德·勒登特挑战了传统版画的边界,将传统的印刷技术与计算机印刷、视频和音频相结合,从而延展了其创作的范围。“重复性”是印刷技术的特性,她长期运用印刷这一特性,但绝不拘泥于机械式地简单重复,而是将其转化为了一系列的连锁反应。这种由传统版画特性延伸而来的连锁反应,被她用于当代观念表达中,使“重复”被彼此分层,形成了新的视觉形式与意义空间。

在此之上,英格里德·勒登特着迷于探索时间的意义。受法国哲学家亨利·柏格森影响,她将时间视作一个持续发生的过程,认为无休止的物体、事物和事件所形成的洪流互不间断地环环相扣,组成了一段段锁链式的经历。在不断变化中她寻找着永恒,通过它人们得以在过去和现在之间穿梭。她珍视无法被具体解释的生命痕迹,因为灵魂无法在有限的时间里将所有体验理解为现象。这些对“过去”的观念相互结合,构成了她版画图像的基底层:一种混沌的、不断重现的、质感古旧的非透明结构。

正如人类具备不断重构的才智,将过去的情境叠加到了通往现在的过程里,用不断变化的眼光去注视现象,因此她将图像的浅表层处理为了较轻薄的纱状结构。这种结构以类似于感知的视觉形态出现,像一张敏感的网,以不同的节奏重复着,像概念一样被压缩着,用以表达“现在”。纱状层不断地在基底层之上出现,尽管反复覆盖,底层的图像却始终如一的显示着,暗示了生命依时间顺序的推演。

The reputable contemporary printmaking artist Ingrid Ledent challenges the boundaries of traditional printmaking, she combines traditional printing techniques with computer printing, video and audio, extends the scope of her creation. "Repeatability" is a characteristic of printing techniques, and she has been  sophisticated with it, not mechanically, but as an interlocking process. This kind interlocking process, which extends from the characteristics of traditional printmaking, is used by her in contemporary concept expression, which makes "repetition" layered with each other, forming a new visual structure and meaning space.

Ingrid Ledent is fascinated by the search for the meaning of time. Influenced by the French philosopher Henri Bergson, she sees time as a continuous process, seeks the permanent in change, through which you can pass between past and present, the endless torrent of objects, things and events interlocking as an unbroken process. She searches into internal time, in which remembrance and emotion are inseparable. Out of the time she experienced, she highlights what cannot be interpreted as concrete, within measurable time, for the soul is not able to comprehend the experience as a phenomenon within the limits of time. This is a foundation for her images, a  chaotic, non-transparent, archaic tissue of frequently recurring forms.

And since it is the intellect that unceasingly reconstructs so as to interpret phenomena as changes and to attach circumstances beyond the past to the period leading to the present, the recent layer of her images is a thinner fabric which appears by multiplying the percept-like visual forms on the surface, as a sensitive net of repetitions at a different pace, compressed like a concept. This layer referring to present is just as translucent as the one under it, built of the same structure but articulated differently: it displays and covers the underlying layers, suggesting chronological succession.

英格里德·勒登特|Ingrid Ledent

英格里德·勒登特(Ingrid Ledent),1955年5月27日出生于比利时-布拉斯哈特,现任上海美术学院特聘教授,国际版画联盟主席。1973-1978年期间,她在安特卫普皇家艺术学院学习自由图像专业。在比利时版画大师高登(G . Gaudaen)、范雷默特尔(W . Van Remoortel)和范鲁斯梵(J . Van Ruysseveldt)等人的指导下学习木版画、石版画和蚀刻。1978-1979年期间,她来到捷克斯洛伐克的布拉格,受鲁道夫·布洛林(Rudolf Broulim)的指导,在应用艺术学院(u.m.p.r.u.m)专攻石版画学习。1981年在安特卫普获得国家高等艺术类研究所奖。从1984年至2016年,担任比利时安特卫普皇家艺术学院版画系教授,并任纯艺术部门主任。
她是国家和国际比赛的评审团成员,在世界各地举办了个人和团体展览。除了比利时,她还在奥地利、巴西、加拿大、中国、克罗地亚、捷克、爱沙尼亚、芬兰、法国、德国、匈牙利、日本、波兰、罗马尼亚、俄罗斯、斯洛文尼亚、南非、韩国、瑞典、乌克兰、英国、美国等国家展出过自己的作品。作品被比利时国家美术馆、中国版画博物馆、匈牙利城市博物馆、波兰Majdanek博物馆、克罗地亚斯普利特美术馆、亚美尼亚现代艺术博物馆、冲绳左岛美术馆等多家著名艺术机构收藏。
Ingrid Ledent studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, the UMPRUM in Prague and the National Higher Institute Antwerp where she received her MFA in printmaking in 1981. Since 1984 she is professor lithography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Since September 2017 she is distinguished professor at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. Ledent is also a member of the Councel of the Internationale Senefelder-Stiftung in Offenbach (Germany) and chairman of the International Adviser Board at IPOA (International Printmaking Organisation Alliance) based in Guanlan, China.
She gave workshops and lectures at many international organizations and institutions. Her work has been exhibited around the world in over 20 solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions. She has received 12 national and 14 international awards in the field of Graphic Arts including the Grand Prix at the 3rd International Triennial in Prague 2001, the 8th International Biennial of Drawing and Graphic Arts Györ 2005, the 5th International Lithographic Symposium 2006 in Tidaholm, the International Print Triennial Krakow 2006, the 5th Splitgraphic International Biennial 2011,the Imprint International Triennial in Warsaw 2014 and an award at the Guanlan International Print Biennial in 2007 and 2017. Her works are widely collected by prestigious art insitutes, including National Museum of Fine Arts, Antwerp (Belgium), China Printmaking Museum, Guanlan (China), Municipal Museum, Györ (Hungary), Museum of Majdanek (Poland), The Gallery of Fine Arts, Split (Croatia), Museum of Modern Art, Jerevan (Armenia), The Sakima Art Museum Okinawa(Japan) and etc.
