Professor Peter Bosteels is Head of Program Fine Arts and Senior Lecturer Printmaking at he Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium. For more then twenty-seven years he’s been giving courses relief printing, digital media and artist book design. His field of expertise is wood engraving. For six years he has been board member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and of the AP University College. Due to his interest in international relations he is member of the committee of Chinese relations and cooperation.
Beside of his profession he has been active in several societies which promote young artists and has organised competitions on printmaking and art in general in Belgium and Europe.
He is founding member of the International Academic Printmaking Association and has helped organising exhibitions in China.
For over Thirty years he practices Wood engraving and is considered as a master engraver. He is member of The British Wood engraving Society. During this period he has produced several artist books and stand-alone prints which are now part of many private and public collections.
